For Lynette, what started as a job has evolved into a career.  When Lynette accepted the customer service role seventeen years ago she didn’t envision a career path that would lead her to directing the entire Customer Services team for the US.

Through her hard work, loyalty and dedication, Lynette paved her own career path, advancing to Team Leader, Assistant Manager, Manager and now Director.  She attributes her rising success to training, but it takes more than that – it takes ownership, initiative and determination.

For me it started as a job and turned into a career.
I live, breathe, and love what I do.

While some employees believe it is the employer’s responsibility to build individual career paths, Lynette took the initiative to create her own path by continually enhancing her skills and exploring new opportunities.  She took it upon herself to define her career aspirations and set milestones for herself, setting personal goals and communicating them with her supervisor.  Together they identified opportunities that would help her to grow and advance her career.

Today Lynette works with many individuals who are just starting out, who are in their first or second job.  She can easily envision herself in their shoes and is committed to building a strong foundation for each of them, providing them with experience and training, coaching and feedback, always making herself available.  She wants them to know that they too have a choice between a job and a career and that if you are looking for someplace to grow, CIBT is definitely the place you want to be.
